World War II vet to attend first Yankee game in nearly a century

A World War II vet from The Bronx who as a child saw Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig play will be attending his first Yankee game in more than 80 years on Sunday. "The last time he went was about 85 years ago," Andy Klampert, nephew of 95-year-old Joseph Casaburi, told The Post.

The Bronx teen charged with fatally stabbing a bully during history class said Friday that he just "snapped" and "didn't mean to kill him." Abel Cedeno, 18, spoke from Rikers Island, where he's been held since plunging a switchblade knife into Matthew McCree, 15, on Wednesday at the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation.
